National brain tumour research funding needs to increase to £35 million a year
World Summit of Brain Tumour Patient Advocates 2017

Saturday 21st October marked the beginning of International Brain Tumour Awareness week. Simultaneously, the Third Biennial World Summit of Brain Tumour Patient Advocates concluded on that day in London after two magnificent days.
Speakers of passion, commitment and eminence have addressed an audience of advocates from across the globe. We have now attended all three of these inspirational events and shared with delegates our experience of political campaigning for change and engaging with our elected representatives.
We sincerely hope the example our community has given of what can be achieved by attending events at Westminster and particularly with our e-petition will empower our friends in their campaigning work as it is clear that across the globe similar problems of lack of awareness and funding resource are experienced. We are hugely grateful to the UK based organisation the International Brain Tumour Alliance (IBTA) for organising this memorable week and wish them luck with the forthcoming worldwide awareness week.
