Walk of Hope Luton

Challenge event categories
Step forward for our Flagship Walk of Hope in Luton and help find a cure for brain tumours.
This event is supported by Fight4Hope and Shay’s Smiles and organised in memory of four young people lost to brain tumours.
Now in its third year, this popular event returns to Wardown Park – the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Luton’s parks. Suitable for all ages and abilities, walkers can choose from a range of distances from 1km to a maximum of 5km. This is a flat route and accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Dogs are welcome.
Refreshments will be provided and toilets are available.
Wardown Park is a short walk from Luton town centre and 1km from the train station. There are several bus routes that stop outside the entrances to the park on Old Bedford Road and New Bedford Road, all of which are less than a five-minute walk from the start and finish lines.
This walk is being organised in memory of Amani Liaquat who died from a brain tumour in February 2022, aged 23; George Fox, who passed away at the age of 13 in April 2022; Renai Taylor-Fraser who was 11 when she died in August 2022; and Shay Patel who passed away in September 2020, aged 13.
