Luton Walk of Hope

Challenge event categories
Following the success of Luton’s first ever Walk of Hope last year, this popular event returns to Wardown Park – the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Luton’s parks. This year walkers are encouraged to wear something purple in memory of Amani and something red to honour Gorgeous George.
Suitable for all ages and abilities, walkers can choose from a range of distances from 1km to a maximum of 5km. This is a flat route and accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Dogs are welcome.
Refreshments will be provided and toilets are available.
Wardown Park is a short walk from Luton town centre and 1km from the train station. There are several bus routes that stop outside the entrances to the park on Old Bedford Road and New Bedford Road, all of which are less than a five-minute walk from the start and finish lines.
This walk is being organised in memory of Amani Liaquat who died from a brain tumour in February 2022, aged 23, and George Fox, who passed away at the age of 13 in April 2022.
