Finding a cure for brain tumours will take years of research

Research costs money

To sustain long-term peer-reviewed research at our UK Centres of Excellence, we are helping each of our centres to raise £1 million a year.

That’s £2,740 per day per centre.

The funding we and our partner organisations provide pays for a team of specialist researchers and support staff, headed by a professor or consultant clinician.

Working at the cutting-edge of research, our researchers need a constant supply of specialist items to carry out their vital work. Our funding also helps to supply the materials and consumables that are used on a daily basis, such as disposable micropipette tips, surgical gloves, microplates, bottles of tissue culture media, serum and assay kits.

Can you Sponsor a Day of research - or possibly more than one?

Each of our centres has a Wall of Hope to recognise our sponsors and loved ones lost to brain tumours. If you raise £2,740, you can place a unique tile, including a special message, on the Wall of Hope at the centre of your choice.

Placing a tile is often part of a group guided tour of a Centre and its facilities. It’s not only an opportunity to pause, reflect and show respect but also see research in action and meet leading researcher and members of their teams.

Choose Brain Tumour Research as your Charity of the Year

If you raise £19,180, that’s equivalent to sponsoring an entire week of vital research and seven tiles on our Walls of Hope. We can arrange for the design of your tiles to include your logo, the name of your fundraising event, as well as the names of those employees or loved ones being remembered or honoured.

We will work with you to arrange tiles for the specific date(s) you’d like to sponsor – for example, dates that have some special significance to you or your organisation.

In addition, we will offer you an engraved glass keepsake to display in recognition of your support.
