- Share your fundraiser on all your social platforms, with your colleagues, friends and family.
- Invite people to your fundraiser using the invite button at the top of your fundraising page
- Donate to your own fundraiser to get off the mark (Facebook recommends this to get your Fundraiser off the ground)
Due to the volume of amazing supporters taking part in this challenge and the long delays with the postal service, we are now unable to change t-shirt sizes. We recommend if it is too big to layer clothes underneath, which will also keep you warm as you take part. If it is too small and unwearable please email fundraising@braintumourresearch.org.
To qualify for a FREE t-shirt, each person taking part needs to register under their own name and to set up a Facebook Fundraiser and once a first donation is received it triggers the sending of the t-shirt to the person who registered and set up the fundraiser.
We understand that some people may like to join up with others as a team, register under one name and set up one Facebook Fundraiser for them all to use, in this instance you will still only be able to receive one FREE t-shirt, however, you can buy additional adult t-shirts here on eBay for £10 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163165134279 and £8 for children - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T-shirt-Childrens-Brain-Tumour-Research/152319127089

The reason you have to raise £274 or more for a medal is that it represents the cost of 10% of a day’s research, £2,740, which is an amazing achievement, especially due to the current difficult financial situation many are currently facing.
As a charity, we have to be careful where we invest our supporter’s money so we can maximise funds for the vital research that is needed. In this instance, we are giving away a t-shirt and a printed tracker, which have a variety of costs associated, and so it is not possible to give away a medal on top this time. We really appreciate all the effort our supporters are undertaking right now, particularly in the current climate – it’s a difficult time for everyone including charities and we do really appreciate any donations that we receive whatever their value.
However, we are seeing people taking part in this challenge who have already raised £274 on their Facebook Fundraiser so it can be achieved and many have even exceeded their target of £274. In March we will be sending out medals to those who have achieved £274 on their Facebook Fundraiser and signed up correctly.
Yes, you do! That is an incredible achievement that you’ve raised £2,740 or more which represents the cost of a day’s research. You will be contacted in March about the creation of a unique tile, including a special message, placed on our Wall of Hope at the Centre of your choice.
