Choose your event and challenge yourself and your friends, your colleagues and your kids to take part in support of Brain Tumour Research! Every year hundreds of supporters like you embrace new challenges inspired by the strength of those facing a brain tumour. Join our Fighting Force of activists across the UK and help us get closer to a cure for this devastating disease.

Running, cycling, swimming, abseiling; there are many great opportunities waiting for you below.

You can also visit the Run Britain website and choose to take part and fundraise for us in any of the myriad UK running events listed there.

Maybe you're looking for something to pump the adrenaline like a skydive or a parachute jump? Or you'd like to trek across Iceland, walk the Great Wall of China or climb Kilimanjaro? We're registered with Do it for Charity, and you can choose from all sorts of these events; fundraising for us while taking part in the challenge of your lifetime!

2018 Virgin Money London Marathon
Sunday 22nd April 2018


The public ballot entry system for the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon opens on Monday 1st May and closes at 17:00 on Friday 5th May 2017


The ballot will be open for five days to give everyone who wants to enter the event a fair chance to do so.

Milton Keynes Marathon Events

Monday 1st May 2017

 

4 great running events, all taking place on the same day! You can choose between a full Marathon, Half Marathon, Team Relay Marathon as well as a family-friendly Superhero Fun Run.
 

With 4,500 acres of woodlands, lakesides, parks and landscaped areas within the city boundary, Milton Keynes is the ideal venue for a Green City Marathon.

Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll Marathon
Sunday 28th May 2017


The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon lets you experience Liverpool’s unforgettable course, featuring a scenic tour of the city centre. Starting at the Albert Dock on Liverpool’s Waterfront before heading towards the World Famous home of The Beatles, The Cavern Club, the route culminates in an electric finish on the Waterfront promenade alongside the Liverpool Echo Arena.

Great North Swim
Saturday 10th June 2017


The iconic Great North Swim is the biggest open water swimming event in the UK. The course takes in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Windermere, the largest lake in England at 10.5 miles long, stretching from Ambleside in the North to Newby Bridge in the South.


This is the ideal challenge for swimmers of all abilities to experience the thrill of open water swimming.

Dartmoor Drop

Calling all daredevils! Why not take a leap and join us for the Dartmoor Drop -- a unique abseil experience in the heart of Devon; raising pulses and funds for Brain Tumour Research!

RideLondon-Surrey 100
Sunday 30th July 2017


We would love you to be part of the Brain Tumour Research team for one of the UK’s most prestigious cycle events. Compete with others over a challenging 100-mile route, with professional cyclists taking part on a similar route earlier in the day.

Great North Run
Sunday 10th September 2017


Grab your running shoes and join the Brain Tumour Research team for one of the world’s greatest half marathons. The gorgeous 13.1 mile race from Newcastle to South Shields, will see thousands of supporters lining the route, cheering you on to the finish.

Great Bristol Half Marathon
Sunday 17th September 2017


As the most recent addition to the Great Run Series, the Great Bristol Half Marathon comes with its own distinguished history. First staged in 1989 and known as the Bristol Half Marathon, the city centre run has become a long-held tradition in the national running calendar. Over 10,000 runners every year make this a must do event with an atmosphere second to none.

Berlin Marathon

This world-renowned marathon course is set throughout several boroughs in Berlin with start and finish near the Brandenburg Gate.

PlusNet Yorkshire Marathon
Sunday 8th October 2017


Join the Brain Tumour Research team for the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon, which has quickly established itself as one of the highlights of the UK's sporting year. This popular and picturesque run takes participants past some of York's most historic sights and along scenic country lanes, making it an attractive prospect for runners of all abilities.

Royal Parks Half Marathon
Sunday 8th October 2017 


The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon takes place each October, starting and finishing in the stunning Hyde Park. Over 16,000 runners take part in the 13.1 mile route through Central London, taking in the spectacular sites of the capital and the beautiful Royal Parks.

As well as all of the fantastic runners that take part, thousands of spectators also attend for the Food & Fitness Festival to cheer on their friends and family and share this amazing day.

Great South Run
Sunday 22rd October 2017


Grab your running shoes and join the Brain Tumour Research team for this year’s Great South Run. Clarence Esplanade in Southsea is transformed into a sea of colour every October, as thousands of runners don their charity vests and running kit.


The Great South Run is now the only 10 mile running event in the world to have achieved IAAF gold label status. Previous athletes who have won the fast and flat 10 mile course include Sonia O’Sullivan, Paula Radcliffe and Mo Farah.


Secure your place through official Great South Run website and, as we don’t set a minimum sponsorship target for this event, we challenge you to raise as much as you can!

The Great West Run
TBC October 2017


The Ashfords Great West Run is an exhilarating 13.1-mile route through the heart of the great city of Exeter. This half marathon has it all: the energy of a city-centre road race, combined with pretty country lanes and stunning views across Exeter.

London Landmarks Half Marathon

We are delighted to be a part of the inaugural London Landmarks Half Marathon. This is the first time a half marathon has been set to run through the heart of historic London. The stunning, closed-road route will showcase a magnificent array of the capital’s grandest landmarks, and its quirky and hidden history!

 

Public entry has sold out and we've allocated all our places.
