A host of celebrities have lent their voice to our cause and are urging people to sign our petition calling for increased UK investment in brain tumour research.
More than 65,000 people have now signed our petition calling on the Government to ring-fence £110 million of current and new funding to kick-start an increase in the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million a year by 2028.
Our goal is to achieve 100,000 signatures in the hope of prompting a parliamentary debate and a number of famous faces, each with their own connection to this devastating disease, are backing our petition to help us reach our goal.
Debbie McGee’s husband, the magician Paul Daniels, died of a brain tumour. Astrologer Russell Grant and actor Craig Russell have both undergone surgeries to remove brain tumours. TV’s The Black Gardener, Danny Clarke, lost his sister Margot McLellan to a glioblastoma (GBM). A very close family member of Pete Waterman OBE died from the disease.
