A teenager who is doing a year of fundraising in memory of her uncle is behind door number 10 of our Advent Appeal.
Mimi Kaufmann, 14, is supporting our campaign to remind people why research into the disease is so important.
Her uncle, David Goldschmidt, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (GBM) in September 2012. Despite surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, David sadly died in October 2013, aged 51.
Mimi, from North London, is nearing the end of a year-long challenge to create 198 mosaic flags of the world out of mini Rubik’s cubes. She said: “I think people should support Brain Tumour Research to find a cure for one of the most common and least-funded cancers. Please help me to help others find a cure.”
The teen’s aim is to raise enough to money to sponsor two days of research at one of our Centres of Excellence.
