Fundraiser urges support for Brain Tumour Research this festive season

1 min read

A man who has raised thousands of pounds for Brain Tumour Research is supporting our Advent Appeal this December to help find a cure for the disease.

Suki Sandhu’s support of the charity is inspired by the loss of two close family members to the disease. His cousin, Sarinder ‘Shindi’ Sangha, was 59 when he died of a glioblastoma (GBM) in March 2020. Devastatingly, Suki also lost his brother-in-law Aman Sumal to a GBM in November 2021. Aman was just 36.

A committed fundraiser, Suki (pictured with his sons, Ajeet, Jeevan and Dharam) ran the London Marathon in April this year, and previously completed the London Duathlon and a two-day 160km pilgrimage cycle from the Golden Temple in Punjab, India, across the border into Pakistan, finishing at Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Sikhism.
