A 27-year-old man who was diagnosed with a brain tumour on Christmas Eve three years ago is urging people to support our Advent Appeal.
Joshua Cullen, who is behind door 23, was told he had just 12-18 months to live when he was told he had a glioblastoma (GBM) in December 2020.
He underwent surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy for the aggressive tumour, after experiencing weakness on his right side and a seizure.
The former DHL operations agent, who is now unable to work and being cared for by his parents, says he is “very lucky” to have reached his third anniversary since diagnosis.
Since his diagnosis, Joshua’s family and friends have raised nearly £2,000 through several fundraising challenges, including his mum, Magdi, who cycled 2,000km from the Czech Republic to the UK.
Joshua, from Lincolnshire, said: “We need all the support you can give, whether by fundraising or donating. If you can give in any way to Brain Tumour Research, please do.”
