A woman who lost her beloved husband to a brain tumour has left a gift in her will to help transform the future of research into the devastating disease.
Mandy Calaz, from Devizes, has chosen to leave a gift to Brain Tumour Research in memory of Mark, who tragically died from a glioblastoma (GBM) in July 2021, aged just 53.
Following Mark’s diagnosis, the couple took on our Walk of Hope and just months after Mark’s death, Mandy set up a Fundraising Group called M & M Adventures.
Mandy said: "It's important to me to ensure Mark is never forgotten and to build a legacy in his memory. I miss him every minute of every hour of every day, but I promised him I would keep fighting and keep funding research so that other families don’t have to go through what we have.
“I want to make a difference to bring forward the day when more effective treatments and, ultimately a cure, are available for all types of brain tumours.”
