Wear a Hat Day... raise awareness and raise
funds for brain tumour research
Please get involved
Simply ask people to Wear
a Hat on 30th March 2012
in return for a donation.
Better still nominate your ‘head’
to wear a hat for the day and pledge a
further donation.
You could also sell our delightful Wear A Hat
Day character badges.
Or why not organise an event around the day and
sell badges, run a best hat competition, design a
hat, make a hat, hold a hat quiz, sell cakes or
anything else you can think of?
• Ask your place of work to get involved
• Ask your child’s school to get involved
• Ask your club to get involved
• Ask your friends to get involved
• Ask your friends to ask their place of work,
schools and clubs to get involved
Whether 2 of you or 2,000 of you get involved you will be raising vital funds for brain tumour research!
Please email karen@braintumourresearch.org to order your balloons and badges... and don't forget to send us your photos. For posters and other items see our fundraising pack
2010 Hat Maker of the Year gets involved
Kate Langrish, crowned ‘Hat Maker of the Year 2010’, has developed our official range of campaign hats. Instructions to make your own bespoke hat and accompanying video are available here (make sure when printing the patterns that your printer is set to print `full size' rather than `scaled to fit'):

Or why not create your own hat simply out of paper

Philip Treacy, celebrity hat designer, contributes to exclusive brooch
Philip Treacy, celebrity hat designer and patron to the charity, comments:
"Fashion is a feeling and a mood and therefore how better to express your passion and commitment to a subject such as brain tumour research than by wearing a fantastic hat? It immediately creates a statement and it doesn't matter what the hat is or how much it costs; everybody who gets involved will feel a million dollars on the day, whilst also raising much needed research funds and awareness".

Philip has contributed to the campaign by providing an image of a hat that he has designed for an exclusive brooch that is available as a limited edition. Find out more
