Regional PR Executive 

Reporting to the Head of External Affairs, we’re looking for a focussed and intelligent individual who excels in a fast-paced, diverse PR environment and welcomes the opportunity to make a difference as part of a rapidly-growing and influential charity.

Main duties:

  • To support and promote awareness and fundraising activities
  • To write and proof read press releases
  • To conduct case study interviews

Salary up to £25,000 depending on experience.

PR Assistant

Regional Community Fundraising Manager for London 

Reporting to the Head of Community Fundraising, this role will require the successful applicant to recruit, develop and manage a network of supporters who fundraise on behalf of Brain Tumour Research to deliver agreed overall income.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be a confident self-starter with experience in fundraising, managing fundraising events and connecting with people
  • Be flexible in your approach to work, embrace change and development and able to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Have experience of attending networking events and working with the contacts made to develop Charity of the Year opportunities with local London firms
  • Have direct experience of raising funds and meeting financial targets
  • Be comfortable working alone or with a team of volunteers and supporters for which you will be responsible for building and developing

Salary c. £30,000 depending on experience.

Trust and Foundations Fundraiser *This vacancy has now closed*

Reporting to Director of Fundraising, this role will require the successful applicant to formulate and deliver strategic and operational plans to establish and grow trusts and foundations fundraising activity for Brain Tumour Research.

The successful applicant will have:

  • An excellent standard of written English, with the ability to write creative, original prose as well as to parse existing text
  • Experience at grant application writing
  • A demonstrable interest in science, or a scientific background

Management Accountant *This vacancy has now closed*

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, this new role will provide support to the organisation with the timely and accurate provision of management reports and analysis to ensure the charity makes well-informed decisions, based on sound and robust financial information to ensure future growth and stability.

The successful applicant will have

• Good analytical skills and confidence to challenge when appropriate
• Experience of creating meaningful and relevant management reports and providing insightful narrative
• Proficiency in business planning and forecasting
• Advanced IT and Excel skills, ideally with experience of using a CRM database
• Flexibility to thrive as part of a small, but busy and growing multi-disciplined team

Fundraising Assistant - *This vacancy has now closed*

A role supporting members of the public in their community fundraising for Brain Tumour Research and helping the wider fundraising team meet and exceed targets.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, you will be responsible for driving income from a growing team of ‘DIY fundraising’ supporters. You will also provide support with a number of administrative functions to help drive fundraising activity across the organisation. 

The successful applicant will

  • Be a highly-organised individual with excellent time management skills.
  • Thrive as part of a busy and growing team.
  • Have very good IT and computer literacy skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience of using a CRM database.
  • Have a high standard of written English.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an interest in working in the charitable, or not for profit, sector.

Salary £15,000 - £18,000
