Head of Community Fundraising (North)

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, this role will lead and manage a team of full-time regional Community Fundraising Managers in Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable professional experience of community fundraising.
  • Demonstrable professional experience at delivering against income targets.
  • Flexibility in their approach to work, embracing change and development and able to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including an excellent standard of written English.
  • Experience in managing and motivating staff and/or volunteers.

Salary c. £40,000 depending on experience.

Regional Community Fundraising Manager - London

We’re looking for an energetic, inspiring and dedicated individual to become the driving force for our community fundraising in London.

Reporting to the Head of Community Fundraising, you will be responsible for:

  • Devising an annual operating plan detailing how financial and other targets will be met
  • Recruiting, managing and developing fundraising volunteers and providing appropriate support to their fundraising activities
  • Working with the Regional PR Manager to ensure appropriate media coverage for supporter fundraising activities / events
  • Managing community fundraising relationships within corporate organisations across London, relaying any opportunities to build corporate partnerships

  • At least four years-experience in a senior public affairs role
  • Proven experience of leading and motivating a team
  • Demonstrable influencing and networking skills
  • Led successful lobbying campaigns

Gifts in Wills Manager

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, this role will require the successful applicant to formulate and deliver strategic and operational plans to grow legacies fundraising activity for Brain Tumour Research.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of developing and implementing a legacy strategy encompassing marketing and fundraising campaigns.
  • Experience of cultivating supporters through to legacy ask.
  • Experience of developing and delivering stewardship plans for enquirers, pledgers and legators.
  • Knowledge of legacy administration including associated legal and financial processes.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including an excellent standard of written English.
  • Experience in managing and motivating staff and/or volunteers.
  • Experience of legacy administration (desirable).

  • Meet and greet visitors and manage inbound phone and email queries
  • Help manage supporters to maximise their fundraising
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive supporter records on supporter database

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, we’re looking for someone who can excel in a marketing environment, who is determined to succeed and help maximise the overall impact and growth of the charity. The candidate will be a motivated self-starter, well organised and will demonstrate attention to detail as well as effective time management and prioritisation in order to meet deadlines.

  • To develop all marketing collateral
  • To project manage all merchandise production
  • To co-ordinate advertising schedule

Brain Tumour Research Trustees 

Intelligent, influential and focused trustees wanted

We are looking to strengthen and complement our Board with the addition of two or three new Trustees with experience in: commercial or charity law, marketing, PR and public affairs. We are also interested in candidates with expertise in corporate fundraising.

The Board of Trustees plays a key role in the growth of the charity, setting the overall strategic direction and providing scrutiny to our processes and decisions as well as ensuring standards of governance are upheld.

This role is pro-bono with meetings held three times a year in Milton Keynes. You will also be expected to sit on one of our sub-committees. Trustees are also asked to attend and contribute to a relevant annual workshop and all trustees are invited to lobbying and other events.

First time trustees will be considered and full induction and training will be provided.
