“No-one knows what the future might bring but I have a lot to live for and am determined to remain positive and live my life to the full.

“I am looking forward to an extra-special Christmas with Shawn and our girls. It has been a chaotic year and will be such a relief for the six of us to get together. Sadly, many families won’t have the privilege we do.” - Elaine

Mum of four Elaine is looking forward to a happy family Christmas – despite being diagnosed with a brain tumour 19 months ago.

Elaine is celebrating her first festive season as a married woman after finally tying the knot with partner Shawn after 33 years together.

Her shock diagnosis with a meningioma came just over two years after she lost her father to the disease.

This Christmas Elaine is planning a series of fundraisers to raise money and awareness, including helping us launch our Christmas appeal.

Donate below to help make Elaine’s Christmas wish come true.

Gift Aid Declaration

I confirm I am a UK tax payer and I agree to Brain Tumour Research claiming tax on all past present and future donations I make to the charity.

By ticking this box I am confirming I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and / or Capital Gains Tax for each year (6th April to 5th April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year.

I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.

I understand that Brain Tumour Research will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give on or after 6th April 2008.
