Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer
Check two new books on our recommended reading list!
We know that sometimes a book can help brain tumour patients to cope, to learn more about the disease, to discover other people’s stories and find inspiration in their words.
That is why we keep a Recommended Reading list on our website, curating various titles that we believe might be really helpful for those living with a brain tumour, having lost someone to the devastating disease, or understanding the challenges facing those who work in front line of treatments.
Our two new additions include Tanya Malpass’s book The Hope that I Have…to remission and beyond and Gordon Shaw’s comic book Bitter Sweet.
Tanya is a retired A&E consultant who was diagnosed with a GBM in 2015. Her book is humorous and full of optimism and hope.
Gordon is a graphic artist who created his comic book to help people gain a greater understanding of cancer and the effect it has on patients.
Most of the books on our Recommended Reading list can be purchased from major online retailers such as Amazon. Don’t forget, you can donate to Brain Tumour Research at the same time with no extra cost to you simply by using Amazon Smile or easyfundraising when doing this (and any other) online shopping.
If there is a book that you think should be added to our list, please let us know!
