National brain tumour research funding needs to increase to £35 million a year
Your Choice Cover announces charity partnership

Swansea-based
insurance company Your Choice Cover has announced a two-year charity
partnership with Brain Tumour Research.
The
business, which helps customers protect their lives, homes and income, hopes to
raise as much as £20,000 over the next two years to help find a cure.
Its
support is inspired by one of its employees who knows first hand how
devastating a brain tumour diagnosis can be. James Drew, Social Media and
Marketing Executive at Your Choice Cover, is engaged to the daughter of brain
tumour patient Mark Poulton.
James
said: “It’s shocking to learn that one in three of us know someone affected.
Mark’s life has changed dramatically since his diagnosis and I’m delighted
that, together with my work colleagues, we will be doing something to help
him.”
Mark
will be on chemotherapy for the rest of his life after being diagnosed with a
high-grade oligodendroglioma in June 2014. He has since undergone gruelling treatment
including 37 rounds of radiotherapy, eight hours of debulking surgery and
chemotherapy.
He
said: “It’s great that Your Choice Cover has chosen to support Brain Tumour
Research and I’m proud of James for making this happen. This is a great
opportunity to bring much needed awareness that the disease so desperately
needs.”
Keith
Jones, Director of Your Choice Cover, said: “Our ethos is to put the
individual at the centre of everything we do and our motto is ‘in a world where
you can be anything, be kind’. This partnership is a great fit and we hope
people will be kind and generous in supporting us and this great cause.”
