Gala dinner to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research

6 min read
A glamorous black-tie dinner will raise vital funds to help find a cure for brain tumours.

The Tour de Football Gala Dinner will take place on Saturday 20th May at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park. As well as enjoying complimentary drinks, a delicious two-course meal and a licensed bar, attendees will hear from motivational speaker Jonathan Acott and enjoy music from renowned saxophonist and DJ Paul Martyn. A raffle and auction will also be held on the night to raise extra funds.

The event has been organised by City Couriers Direct ahead of the Tour de Football – a new cycling challenge which will take place in September.

Darryl Claypole, Managing Director of City Couriers Direct, is a passionate supporter of Brain Tumour Research, having already raised more than £14,000 for the charity. His support is inspired by his son Tom, who was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (GBM) in 2021. Tom, a dad of two, had chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and he is now back working part-time at his dad’s business.

Tickets for the gala dinner can be purchased online and cost £75 per person, or tables of 10 can be purchased for £700.
