National brain tumour research funding needs to increase to £30-35 million a year
Philip Treacy inspires 10th anniversary brooch
Described by Vogue magazine as “perhaps the greatest living milliner” Philip Treacy OBE is the world’s most in-demand hat designer. He is widely credited for changing the perception of the hat and creates exclusive designs for celebrities and royalty, as well as film and television. He became a patron of Brain Tumour Research in 2011 and in 2020 he is inspiring the latest of our signature brooches. The list of designers who have inspired brooches for us over the past decade reads like a who’s who of British couture millinery and for our 10th anniversary brooch we are proud to be working with Philip once again.
Philip’s message on the Certificate of Authenticity which accompanies each of the limited edition brooches reads: “Congratulations to Brain Tumour Research on 10 years of making a difference; revolutionising research and bringing us closer to a cure. Wear A Hat Day is such a brilliant event and I’m proud to be part of it. Please enjoy this new brooch and wear it to continue to help raising vital awareness for brain tumours. Together we will find a cure.”
