National brain tumour research funding needs to increase to £35 million a year

New Fundraising Group launches in memory of David Hetherington

Friends, family and supporters came together in Canary Wharf on Monday 6th August for the official launch of a new Fundraising Group for the Brain Tumour Research charity, Power of David (PoD). Inspired by David Hetherington, a dad-of-two who died in November 2016 from a glioblastoma, the group launched on what would have been his 41st birthday.

David’s wife, Shaz Hetherington, spoke of David’s unique ability to leave a lasting impression – what she calls his superpower – and her desire to continue his legacy and help fund the fight against brain tumours.

PoD and its associated events will be run by an army of volunteers, or PoDsters, with the first event being the David Hetherington Memorial Walk of Hope on Saturday 29th September. Register online for this event
