UK Brain Tumour Symposium 12th October 2017 - Milton Keynes

2 min read
In October 2017, Brain Tumour Research and brainstrust will proudly present their joint UK Brain Tumour Symposium (formerly known as UK Brain Tumour Summit).

We’re bringing leading experts from many areas of brain tumour research and support together for this inaugural event to show the progress that is being made on many fronts to improve outcomes for people living with a brain tumour. We will discuss some of the biggest issues facing the UK brain tumour community today and review the specific advances that are being made.

Guests at the summit will have the opportunity to discover more about:
  • Advances being made in brain tumour research
  • The latest news on brain tumour diagnoses and treatment
  • Quality of life and living well
  • Campaigning for change
  • Brain tumour data
Interest in this event has been huge and we reached maximum capacity within 48 hours after we first announced it on 18th August this year. This is a tremendous endorsement of our belief that this is something that the brain tumour community wants and needs.

The symposium is being held at Kents Hill Park Training and Conference Centre in Milton Keynes. Full address and contact details for the venue:
Swallow House, Timbold Drive, Kents Hill Park, Milton Keynes MK7 6BZ.
Tel: +44(0)1908 358000 http://kentshillpark.com

The event is free to attend but is limited to registered delegates. The venue has ample free parking for all needs. Lunch is included but you will need to cover your costs of getting to and from the event.

Brain Tumour Research and braintrust are offering to join with any delegates after the event for an informal supper at Kents Hill and the venue offers accommodation for attendees. Anyone wishing to stay the night at the venue can do so by making arrangements directly with Kents Hill and if they mention "Brain Tumour Research" they will be entitled to book at a discounted rate. Overnight accommodation may be limited and will be offered on a first-come first-served basis. You do not need to formally book a place for dinner but any questions around dietary requirements should again be discussed with Kents Hill. All delegates booking overnight accommodation and staying for supper will need to cover their own costs.

Any delegates planning to stay the night and / or join us for supper should email us on symposium@braintumourresearch.org to confirm this with us as well.

If you’re not on the delegate list for this year then rest assured we intend to make this an annual event and you can submit your interest for next year’s Symposium today by completing the registration form on the website www.braintumoursymposium.org. If you have any questions about this event, you can email us on symposium@braintumourresearch.org.

We will report on the outcomes of this year’s Symposium in our next issue of Believe Magazine, publishing in January 2018.
