Didcot to Upton Walk of Hope

Challenge event categories
Join Albie and Beyond – a Fundraising Group supporting Brain Tumour Research – for this supporter-led Walk of Hope and step forward to help find a cure for brain tumours.
We’ll start at the Royal Oak in Didcot and follow a resurfaced railway line to the George and Dragon in Upton, before returning to our starting point. Walkers are encouraged to wear fancy dress if they would like to and there will be a DJ at the Royal Oak in the evening.
Suitable for all ages and abilities, the five-and-a-half-mile route is mainly flat and follows pathway. It is accessible, though this is weather dependent as rain can make the track wet and boggy. Dogs are welcome.
Parking and toilets are available at the Royal Oak and the George and Dragon. Refreshments will be provided.
This walk is being organised and led by Albie and Beyond, a Didcot-based Fundraising Group set up in memory of Albie Bayliss-Watts who died from a brain tumour in November 2021 aged two. You can read Albie’s story here.
