We’re now less than two weeks away from the General Election and the political parties have set out their plans for Britain.

We have reviewed the major parties’ manifestos, looking at how they might help brain tumour patients, families and researchers. As ever the NHS is high on the public agenda but it is also important to understand how each party will support researchers in universities and the life sciences sector.

Brain Tumour Research has identified three key areas which need the most impact and investment to help us find a cure for brain tumours. Increasing research funding, building research capacity and improving access to new cancer treatments and drugs are key priorities for our community.

The next Government has the power and capability to help fund the fight. After receiving such a strong message from over 120,000 of our supporters over the past year, politicians know that now is the time to correct the historical underfunding of brain tumour research.
