Bath Half Marathon - Sunday 13th March 2016

Registration for this event is now closed to the public. If you have a place and would like to run for Brain Tumour Research, please contact peter@braintumourresearch.org.

Starting time: 8am registration for 10am start

The Vitality Bath Half Marathon is a picturesque course, straddling both sides of the river Avon and avoiding all the hills surrounding the City. It is a two-lap course with proven PB (‘personal best’ time) criteria and is entirely traffic-free (full road closures throughout).
 

Paris Marathon - Sunday 3rd April 2016

All charity places for the 2016 event have now been allocated.

Starting time: 8:45am start

The Paris Marathon offers a unique opportunity to make the city yours by participating in one of the most prestigious races over the legendary 42.195 km distance. This is now one of the biggest marathons in the world, as much for the size of its field as the performances of its runners. Each finisher comes home with incredible memories.

Plymouth Half Marathon - Sunday 17th April 2016

Entry fee: £34/£32 with running club affiliation
Starting time: 7:30am registration for 9am start

A stunning and varied run with coastal views, the beautiful National Trust grounds of Saltram Park, and the iconic Plymouth Hoe, where Sir Francis Drake played bowls! This is a much celebrated traffic-free road race, which takes in all that is great about Plymouth and sees runners returning year after year.

London Marathon - Sunday 24th April 2016

All charity places for the 2016 event have now been allocated. 

Join the Brain Tumour Research team for one of the most iconic running events in the world. If you have been lucky in the ballot we would love for you to run for us! Please get in touch with Sarah sarah@braintumourresearch.org.

All runners joining our team will receive:

• Customised runner vest with name of your choice
• Fundraising help (Assistance in setting up your online fundraising page and general tips along the way)
• Facebook Support Group 
• Post Marathon Reception (including shower and complimentary massage)
 

Milton Keynes Marathon - Monday 2nd May 2016

Entry fee: £44 EA Runner and £46 Non-EA Runner 
Start time: 10am

MK Team Marathon - Monday 2nd May 2016

£100 per team from 1/2/16 to 22/4/16
Start time: 10am

The BMI The Saxon Clinic Marathon Relay runs alongside the Milton Keynes Marathon event, pitting teams of four runners against each other, each competitor running a leg of between 6.2 and 6.9 miles.

You must register all 4 team members when you register, but you can make changes to your team and running order up until 22/4/16.

Milton Keynes Super Hero Run - Monday 2nd May 2016

Entry fee: Adults £10.00 & Children (under 16) £8.00
Start time: 10:30am

The Superhero Fun Run is a fantastic event for runners (or walkers!) of all ages and abilities. Experience what being a superhero is all about as you cross the stadium finish line cheered by thousands of admiring spectators. A very colourful and fun addition to the MK Marathon event for the whole family. Superhero costume necessary.

Super Hero Run - Sunday 15th May 2016 (TBC)

Entry fee: £22
Fundraising target: £100

No previous experience is required for this event and with a bit of training the 5km or 10km distances should easily be within your capabilities. The spirit of the event is 'taking part not winning' so you can run, jog or walk - you decide!

Great South Run - Sunday 23rd October 2016

Grab your running shoes and join the Brain Tumour Research team for this year’s Great South Run. Clarence Esplanade in Southsea is transformed into a sea of colour every October, as thousands of runners don their charity vests and running kit.

The Great South Run is now the only 10 mile running event in the world to have achieved IAAF gold label status. Previous athletes who have won the fast and flat 10 mile course include Sonia O’Sullivan, Paula Radcliffe and Mo Farah.

Early-entry is £31 (normally £41) via the official Great South Run Website, and, as we don’t set a minimum sponsorship target for this event, we challenge you to raise as much as you can!
 

Royal Parks Half Marathon - October 2016 (TBC)

 
Entry fee: £130
Fundraising target: £475 

The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon takes place each October, starting and finishing in the stunning Hyde Park. Over 16,000 runners take part in the 13.1 mile route through Central London, taking in the spectacular sites of the capital and the beautiful Royal Parks. As well as all of the fantastic runners that take part, thousands of spectators also join us for the Food & Fitness Festival to cheer on their friends and family and share this amazing day.

Berlin Marathon - 25th September 2016

Start time: 9am

This world-renowned marathon course is set throughout several boroughs in Berlin with start and finish near the Brandenburg Gate 
 

Santa Run - TBC December 2016

Location: Victoria Park, London
Entry fee: £22 (includes FREE santa suit)
Fundraising target: £100

Join over 7,000 Santas on the UK's best-loved Santa dash! You'll run in red and white through the picturesque Victoria Park. This is the perfect running event for new supporters as both 5km and 10km routes are available.
