Kevin O'Neill Kevin O'Neill is Consultant Neuro-surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital, Imerial College,London.  He also heads up The Brain Tumour Research Campaign (BTRC) charity with Wendy Fulcher.  Together with their supporters they have raised over £500,00 since 2004 in order to set up a programme of brain tumour research at Imperial College.  This included a tissue bank of brain tumour samples for research, a database of brain tumour cases that will contribute to a national brain tumour registry of patients in the UK, and a laboratory to analyse these tumours in novel ways to develop revolutionary treatment options.  He believes the work of the umbrella charity Brain Tumour Research is crucial in getting brain tumour research on the national agenda.  On a personal note, Kevin has impacted on the lives of many people with brain tumours; they all say that he is much more than just a surgeon, he has become a friend - Read Kevin's Story...

Federico Roncaroli Dr Roncaroli is Reader in Neuropathology for Imperial College London.  Trained as a histopathologist, he has been working in the UK since 2003.  He has a passion for his subject and is keen to act as the mediator between patients and basic scientists.  His desire is to enable results obtained in experimental models to be tested on tissues from patients with brain tumours and then translated into clinical practice - Read Federico's Story...
