Sue Farrington Smith Sue Farrington Smith led the coming together of numerous brain tumour charities to creat Brain Tumour Research.  The Umbrella Group charity was launched in April 2009 with Sue as its Director.  She became aware of the lack of funding for brain tumour research when her sister's little girl, Alison Phelan was diagnosed with a brain stem glioma in August 2000.  Along with family and friends, Sue set up the charity Ali's Dream following the loss of Ali in June 2001, three weeks before her eighth birthday - Read Sue's Story...

Bev Foster Bev is regional operations manager for Emerald Group Publishing and in her   spare time a trustee for the Bradford based brain tumour charity Andrea's Gift.  Bev was friends with Andrea - they both worked together at Emerald and with Carol Robertson, another friend, they set up Andrea's Gift in 2003, the year after Andrea had died from a brain tumour.  Since then Carol has become the fundraiser and development manager for Andrea's Gift and the charity is close to raising a million pounds - Read Bev's Story...
